RIDE INFORMATION
2010 Ride for Courage: Polar Bear Metric Century:
Two routes fully-supported: Ride the traditional Polar Bear Metric Century or the half-century Courage Loop.

Our House (across from South Fork Elementary) 4403 Country Club Road, Winston-Salem, NC.

Friday, January 01, 2010 (New Year's Day):
Event will take place rain or shine; if there is ice or snow on event day, the ride will be canceled. If the ride is canceled, t-shirts and sponsor bags will be given to all registered riders - please see this Web site for up-to-date details.
RACE DAY REGISTRATION:
8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. at Our House
9:00 a.m. Start:
Polar Bear Metric Century - A challenging route (62+ miles) with many hills through four counties. Two rest stops will be provided.
Courage Loop - Intermediate (30+ miles) distance ride with some rolling rills. One rest stop will be provided close to the halfway point. Option to shave off five miles, shortening the route to 25 miles and still finishing with all other cyclists.
Participation Fee:
$35 if registered by December 18, 2009; $40 day of event.
If registering online through Active, there is an additional $3 processing fee - this provides you with your own event Web page and allows your friends to make online pledges, in your name.
All riders who register by December 18 will receive an event t-shirt and sponsor gifts. Riders who register on event day will receive a t-shirt, while supplies last, and sponsor gifts.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

for more information. Volunteers are needed for registration, rest stops, awards and food.
SUPPORT :
Please carry simple repair tools, tubes and patch kits during the event. All routes will have bike mechanics at rest stops and SAG support following the last riders on each route. Technical support will remain on course until 2:00 p.m.
